P&M Engineering has developed a common platform of automatic and semiautomatic modules dedicated to the manufacturing and validation of electromechanical actuators. There are recurring items on which the specific components of each machine are inserted. It includes three fixed frames: one lower, one intermediate and one upper. Moreover, there is a central mobile part equipped with a rotating table and an external electrical cabinet. All frames are realized by ground plates, extruded profiles and anodized aluminum panels.
From a functional point of view, lower frame includes:
- Scraps compartments;
- Consoles for command and piece coding;
- Pneumatic box for managing compressed air and any inert gases;
- Pneumatic rotating distributor;
- Control and management sensors.
On the other hand, in the upper frame, there are:
- Control and management sensors;
- Dedicated electrical cabinet for actuations;
- Dedicated electrical cabinet for instruments.
Both are electromagnetically isolated, from external and internal noises to reduce the undesirable effects on the present actuations and measuring devices.
The central part of the machine is equipped with a rotating table. In the standard configuration it has six fixed stations, coupled with a ground plate.
Above the latter there are:
- Vices;
- Electro-pneumatic actuations;
- Pneumatic and electrical supply distributors;
- Control and management sensors;
- Mechanical connections with the fixed part of the machine.
The central part of the module is completed with the fixed intermediate frame which contains::
- Intermediate electrical cabinet equipped with rotating electrical joints;
- Bearing between fixed and mobile part;
- Plate for placing specific working stations (tightening, soldering, dispencing etc etc) depending on configurations
Finally, there is an external cabinet that can be either joint with the module or separate. In this case it is equipped with a cable duct.
Inside there are:
- UPS as auxiliary supply;
- Interface and communication board for data/commands exchange with external supervisor;
- External power sockets;
- AC and DC electrical components;
- HMI for local machine monitoring and management.
