P&M snc was founded in Perugia in 2009 and turned into a limited company in September 2020 as P&M Engineering, offers the market industrial machinery for automation systems and test benches.
In the field of automation, the proposed solutions integrate modern industrial production processes such as robotic assembly, laser welding, ultrasonic welding both on metal and plastic parts, brazing, bonding, cutting, folding or forming, drilling, tapping and automatic screwing in both metal and plastic components.
Each process can be equipped with appropriate monitoring for a complete diagnostics, traceability, qualification and process control.
The exact combination of automation, metrology and diagnostics is the hallmark of P&M, which aspires to offer technical solutions to the market in the implementation of industrial processes where operating parameters and quality standards are constantly monitored and used for total control of production.
We achieve this either the widespread application of traditional metrological solutions or the focused choice ofi industrial and cutting edge techniques.
All of our products can operate both in a semi-automatic mode in the presence of an operator and in a fully automated mode by interfacing with commercial robots and cobots.
Through the use of common fieldbuses or low-level DIO, the solutions proposed by P&M can be easily inserted and merged into both new and existing production lines. Traceability can be completely managed remotely by a supervisor that can exchange data with the modules, send work for product change, order a reworking processes scraps, warnings and alarms communications and managements.
The proposed machines are built up both from a combination of standard P&M submodules chosen to carry out required industrial process and fully customized solutions projected on specific needs and requests.
Due to its in-house measurement capabilities, P&M also creates innovative test benches, both focused on R&D activities with special calibration and characterization functions and for V&V, with the completion of the necessary verification and validation procedures. The latters can be pointed out interfacing our modules with common products needed in environmental tests such as climatic chambers, salt spray test benches or shakers.
The goodness of the products realized is ensured by our scientific competence within metrology and diagnostic area, as demonstrated by scientific publications made on national and international journals, as well as the long experience gained in various national universities and foreign research centers.
The proposed solutions are available in stand-alone mode, where operator interacts with the bench, as well as automatic multiple benches for rapid and widespread testing in any engineering field such as pneumatic, hydraulic, thermal, electrical or mechanical.
All parameters of interest are monitored via RT electronics and customized instrumentation, which can be suitably post-processed with customized and configurable software, carefully defined and developed according to the metrological features to be investigated by P&M personnel.
