P&M Engineering has developed a specific module for end-of-line qualification and verification of electromechanical rotary actuators. Derived from the common platform of P&M modules for the automotive sector, this machine performs the following functions:
- Reading and coding of managed components;
- Calibration of the sensors present (PWM, SENT or analogue) with verification of linearity, accuracy and hysteresis;
- Control of the electromechanical performance of the actuator with monitoring of power supplies and absorptions;
- Power supply both in current and in voltage of the actuators;
- Verification of the performance of the sensors under load;
- Final marking of the piece with separation between good and scrap.
The cycle time of the machine is less than 20 [s] and can be optimized according to the setting parameters that can be changed and managed by recipe. The latter is used also to change the acceptance/reject parameters of the controlled product.
All data is acquired and processed in real time through FPGAs and industrial RT processors. The records are sent to an external database or saved in local disk for total traceability of the characteristics of each product.
